Ozone Therapy

Oxygen, activated

Ozone therapy uses medical-grade ozone — an energised form of oxygen — to enhance oxygen delivery and activate the body's own antioxidant and immune systems. At SOMA, ozone therapy is physician-supervised and test-guided at our Mumbai and New Delhi clinics, and is also offered in its most advanced form: EBOO with hemofiltration.

What is ozone therapy?

Medical ozone is oxygen carrying a third atom — a short-lived, highly reactive form that, in controlled clinical doses, triggers beneficial responses: improved oxygen utilisation, activation of the body’s own antioxidant enzymes, and modulation of immune signalling. It has been used in clinical practice internationally for decades.

The forms SOMA uses

The most common is major autohemotherapy: a small volume of blood is drawn, treated with a precise ozone dose, and reinfused. For clients whose diagnostics call for more comprehensive treatment, SOMA offers EBOO with hemofiltration — continuous, whole-circulation ozonation with filtration — described on its own page.

How does SOMA use ozone therapy?

As a test-guided tool within a wider protocol — most often where blood work points to chronic inflammatory load, immune dysregulation, recurrent infections or high oxidative stress. Dose, form and frequency are physician-set and adjusted by response. Ozone therapy at SOMA supports the body’s own systems; it is not presented as a treatment or cure for any disease.

Who is ozone therapy suitable for?

A SOMA physician, from your blood work, history and medications. Screening is mandatory, and certain conditions — including some blood and thyroid disorders and pregnancy — exclude ozone therapy. Where standard ozone is insufficient for what your results show, your physician may discuss EBOO instead; where neither is indicated, you’ll be told plainly.

What happens during an ozone session?

Before

Vitals check and confirmation of that day’s physician-set dose.

During

For major autohemotherapy, a small blood draw is treated with medical-grade ozone and reinfused through the same line. Sessions typically take 30–45 minutes under clinical supervision.

After

Most clients resume their day immediately. Response is reviewed against your protocol before the next session is scheduled.

Where is ozone therapy available?

At SOMA in Mumbai — Kohinoor Square, Dadar West — and in New Delhi at Greater Kailash II. Consultation and blood work come first; the form of ozone therapy, if any, follows from your results.

Common questions

Ozone therapy is used to support oxygen utilisation, antioxidant capacity and immune balance — most often where testing shows inflammatory or oxidative load. It is supportive care within a physician-designed protocol; it is not a treatment or cure for any disease, and suitability is determined by screening.

Major autohemotherapy treats a small drawn volume of blood and reinfuses it. EBOO treats your circulation continuously through a filtration-and-ozonation circuit over a full session — a more comprehensive delivery. SOMA offers both; diagnostics determine which, if either, fits your protocol.

In trained clinical hands, at medical doses and with proper screening, ozone therapy has a long safety record internationally. At SOMA every session is physician-supervised, doses are controlled, and mandatory screening excludes those for whom it isn't appropriate. Ozone is never inhaled.

Cost depends on the form and the number of sessions your physician recommends after testing. Contact SOMA for a consultation — protocols begin with diagnostics, not a price list.
