IV Nutrient Therapy
Beyond digestion’s limits
IV nutrient therapy delivers therapeutic doses of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants directly into circulation, bypassing digestive limits. At SOMA, every drip is formulated from your blood work by a physician — common components include vitamin C, B-complex, magnesium, glutathione, zinc and NAD+ — at our Mumbai and New Delhi clinics.
What is IV nutrient therapy?
IV nutrient therapy infuses nutrients directly into the bloodstream through a drip, bypassing the digestive system entirely. That matters for two reasons: absorption and dose. Oral supplements must survive digestion, where uptake of some nutrients is limited or impaired — especially in gut conditions, chronic illness and older age. Infusion delivers close to complete availability, and permits therapeutic doses that tablets cannot practically reach.
What a SOMA drip can contain
Formulations draw from a clinical range that includes vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, magnesium, zinc, amino acids, glutathione and NAD+. Which of these — and at what doses — is decided by your blood work, not by a menu.
How are SOMA’s IV protocols selected?
Labs first. Your blood work identifies what is actually depleted and what your protocol is trying to achieve — immune support, recovery, energy, antioxidant capacity — and your physician formulates the drip from that evidence. This is the difference between medical IV therapy and the drip-bar model: at SOMA you are not choosing a named cocktail from a list; the formulation is built for you, and it changes as your labs change.
Within a wider protocol
IV nutrients rarely work alone. They typically support a broader plan — nutritional correction, gut work, hormonal balance — so that improvements hold without indefinite infusions.
Who is IV nutrient therapy suitable for?
A SOMA physician determines that from your blood work, history and medications. IV therapy is commonly considered where absorption is compromised, depletion is documented, or therapeutic dosing is the goal — and it is declined where testing shows no need, because infusing nutrients you are not short of serves no purpose. Kidney function and certain conditions are checked before any high-dose formulation is approved.
What happens during an IV session?
Before
Your formulation is confirmed against your latest labs and vitals are checked.
During
A single IV line is placed and the drip runs 45–90 minutes depending on contents and volume. Most clients read, work or rest.
After
The line is removed and you can resume your day immediately. Response and follow-up labs guide whether, when and how the formulation is repeated.
Where is IV nutrient therapy available?
At SOMA in Mumbai — Kohinoor Square, Dadar West — and in New Delhi at Greater Kailash II. All drips are administered in-clinic by clinical staff under physician oversight; every protocol begins with a diagnostic consultation and blood work.
Common questions
That depends on what your body actually needs. Generic drips chosen from a menu often deliver nutrients you aren't short of. At SOMA, blood work comes first — your drip is formulated from documented needs and therapeutic doses, which is what makes IV nutrient therapy worth doing.
At SOMA, every IV is physician-formulated after screening, prepared under sterile protocols and administered by clinical staff with supervision throughout. Side effects are uncommon and typically mild, such as cool sensation or slight bruising at the site. Screening identifies anyone for whom IV therapy isn't appropriate.
Most IV nutrient sessions at SOMA take 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the formulation and volume. Slower-infusing components extend the time. Most clients read, work or rest during the drip, and can resume their day immediately afterwards.
Cost depends on your formulation — which nutrients, at what doses, across how many sessions — and that is set from your blood work rather than a fixed menu. Contact SOMA for a consultation; every IV protocol begins with testing, not a price list.

Consultations at our Mumbai (Dadar) and New Delhi (Greater Kailash II) clinics begin with testing, not treatment.
